Three properties are highlighted in this video tour, starting with our very own Matawan showroom! If you’re dreaming of a pond or water feature, this is the tour for you. We’ve noted a few of the highlights here, and you can watch the full tour in the video. From ponds to waterfalls, bubblers and more, get ready to be inspired.

Did you know that 2021 is Grounds Keeper’s 49th season? This tour was filmed last year (our 48th season) on a rather rainy day, but that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the ponds, waterfalls, fountains, bubblers and fish.

As an added bonus, we even have an indoor pond full of beautiful koi and plenty of pond critters if you want to get in out of the rain.

Grounds Keeper owns the property where our showroom is located, so we can build all of our displays exactly how we want them – namely, to inspire you and show you what’s possible in spaces small and large.

The tour starts with a mid-sized 8×11 pond with a stream, waterfall with flagstone sitting area, and covered swing. It then moves to a small 6×8 pond and waterfall that makes a great starter setup, and finally to a larger 11×16 pond with boulders, lighting, fish cave, lilies and more.

All of the ponds at our showroom are labelled with prices that are all-inclusive so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

And speaking of rain, you’ll get to see rainwater harvesting first hand, with bubblers that capturing rainwater from the roof as well as overflow from our fish tanks.

Also on this tour, you’ll experience microponds for very small spaces, bubblers, orbs, Mongolian basalt columns, ceramic urns, recirculating streams, and so much more that you should go watch that video right about now!

Continue the rainy day tour with us and meet Walter the dog, who is as excited as we are to gaze out at this stunning property. The back yard slopes to Deal Lake below, overlooking Asbury Park on the opposite side.

You can reach the water via Bluestone steps, with flagstone sitting areas along the way. The hillside you’ll traverse contains 50 tons of boulders, every one of them placed strategically to look great and help prevent soil erosion.

As you take in the lush gardens, full of hydrangea and other stunning summertime blooms, you’ll also notice some large, green, slightly fuzzy leaves growing among the boulders, with perhaps a peek of smooth orange beneath. You’ll be delighted to learn that these are butternut squash, proof that you can love the sight of your garden, and the taste of it, too!

Our final tour for the day takes us to Shrewsbury, New Jersey, where you’ll be treated to a landscape that underwent a total restoration. Travel up a natural stone walkway toward the house, through custom-built stone pillars to the space beyond, where you can enjoy a pond and bubbler right in the front yard.

There’s garden art, bamboo screening, a stone bench, and plenty of greenery and blooms to brighten up even the rainiest of days.

Come around to the back yard where the majesty will stun you. Enter through the gardens and a wrought iron gate, to be greeted by an expansive patio with a fire pit, plenty of custom stone work, a waterfall built right into an open deck, more garden art and a swimming pool that will invite you to dive right in.

This property was all about the dream – whatever the homeowners imagined, it’s right there in their yard.

If you’ve enjoyed touring these properties and you’re ready to talk about a pond, waterfall, water features or new landscape, contact us for a consultation and we’ll work with you to plan the outdoor space of your dreams.
